hey ppl.
its only been out the bodyshop since the day b4 PVS. had full respray n all de-dented.
now its bak 2 stage 1 after bein hit by an old man 2day while my gsi woz parked at the side of the road.
woz in the bak garden, heard a skreech and a bang, went 2 have a look only 2find my car had been smacked.
whinesses say that the old man hit my car 1st, sendin it in2 the air and it landed on the bonnet of a car comin in the opposite direction. both the old man and young girl in the othe car where both taken 2 hospital
the damage (so far) -
- p/s wing
- p/s door and window
- side skirt
- wheel arch
- suspention strut
- lower arm
- rear beam
- steerin rack
- steerin knuckle
- scratched bumper
- 2x gsi alloys
- tyre marks on bumper, wing, door, mirror and roof (somehow mirror is still attached??)
as far as im aware that is the damage so far altho the bonnet no longer lines up even tho it wasnt touched. very high poss that the chassis has been twisted.
i will hopefully get some pics of it up wen i can get them off me mob n then some beta pics of the damage and the follow up 2 the list as soon as the assesor has had a look at the car n i find out from the police where the car is.

this might mean the end 2 another std gsi.

will get them up asap. due 2 the old man bein in hospital the police havent managed 2 get the insurance details.
the chance of me gettin nethin 4 the car is very slim atm

spoken 2 insurance this morn n just goin by the age of the car its lookin like a write off. dependin on how much the insurance might want, there could b bits of it on here 4sale in a few months

the car which hit mine (metro) launched off my wing n landed on the bonnet of a polo travelin in the opposite direction. my car moved bak 2.5-3m and bounced u the kurb sideways. the old man must of been travellin atleast 40mph in the 30mph zone

from the damage you described so far, it deffintaley sounds like a write of!!
a nice tidy GSi is only worth about £2000!!
how much have you spent on it??
someone hit my bro last month, only just a rear wing collision at 15mph! £1k to repair!!!!!
makes me think twice when spending money on my GSi now, a little incident like that can write it of and you will never get back all the money you spent on it!

i payed 1450 4the car and about 1000 in mods.
if its written off i might buy it bak dependin on cost n strip it off all parts n scrap wots left.only way ill get some of me money bak really.
i fookin hate old ppl now, even tho they cause the majority of accidents, its us that get fooked ova 4it!
