And it was'nt me Lee Mitchell again. Done my Mantzel, impressed is and undestatement with the difference it has made
At first its difficult as you need to learn to drive the car again as the power (as most of you know) is shifted right to the end of the rev range but when it gets to 5k it is like a second lease of life VRRRAAAAAPPPPP it is unbelievable how a metal box can make so much difference its like its had another engine fitted it shifts now.
Floor it in first and keep your foot planted all the way through to keep the revs up and it justs keeps pulling and pulling and pulling.
I have lost count the number of times I have hit the limiter tonight due to it just picking up so quick after 5k RPM, not going to have limited increased just yet as I want to get it up the pod as it as at the moment and see what times it puts in, if it does'nt make mid 15's I'll chew my hat, then with a Unichip and mapping session its gonna be mental.
Anyone with a 1.6 16v engine must obtain one of these ASAP

The gains are normally well good, what ya want to do is put in some better rod bolts and get a unichip to raise the rev limter to get the most, because the peak power output is moved way up the rev scale with one of these

20bhp with correct mapping.
So lets say I have 110bhp at the moment, I must have at least 120bhp (I think I have about 125bhp) now in a car that weighs the same as a paper bag.

Thanks, I already knew what has to happen next but I want to get it up Pod as it is to see what its like without the raised limiter and then again with raised limiter to see the difference.
Had a race with a Mercedes little thing and was side by side with that, is it CLK?

lee... did you take the whole engine out to do a manztel?
these manztels are a serious piece of kit... my engine came with it on it so i dont know what a 1.6 is like without one... but my birds tigra is just shit... its only a 1.4 but there is just no torque...
i'd say my 1.6 has twice the amount of torque... and then some... maybe not on paper but power delivery is excellent... still trying to figure out is it worth doing a 2.0 conversion...

I knew people would think this, na thats his old C16XE where the Mantzel came from on the floor.
Personally I think I have lost a little torque at around 4,000 RPM in 5th cruising on the motorway, but thats the only place it seems to be down.
If you have'nt driven a standard X16XE then fitted one of these you need to, to see the difference

Nope not heavy at all, its better now then what it was before as you only have to rest your foot on the pedal and the revs increase.
