2 weeks ago i got done for havin my front windows tinted. but a threatened to take the police to court because they didn't have proof so got away with that.Any way driving to the petrol station on fri got pulled again and got another fine for havin slanted letter on my number plates HAVE THEY GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO

wot is the percentage of light that comes through ur front windows and also you are making yourself an easy target with a number plate like that, get a legal one and it will look better and also stop getting unwanted attention!

just brought a normal plate today and pulled the front window tint out so hopefully they won't bother me again. Thing is a young girl got sexualy assalted near where i live on friday and police are chasing me for my number plate somthing not right there

i got a lecture from the police about 6 months ago on number plates, that font is unfortunately illegal fella, theres only 1 font your allowed.

If theres a tint on the front window then yes they are illegal and you are a foolish idiot.
It also a criminal act to have playboy bunnies on your reg plate as well, and you thought you were being funny.

well u can get away with 70% light coming through the front windows but 24% is very low!!

it not actually illegal to have tints foward of the b pillar as some cars come with them standard, but they need to let at least 70% of light through the windows for them to be ok!

all cars have a standard tint on them, that is why if u apply any tint on top of them it becomes illegal. A standard window lets in the legal amount of light and any more is illegal, its as simple as that.

Section 32 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations have been amended to include "Window Tint Films" where such materials attached to the glass are capable of reducing the Visible Light Transmission of forward windows to below prescribed levels (70% VLT for windows forward of the 'B' pillar)
That is the law!
