best way to make a 1,4 faster is to take it out and put a xe in it, but get it done by a pro

its a 16v, so you can od the following, fit an exhaust system, sealed induction kit, lexmaul inlet, there you will have 105bhp at a guess!

Firstly a 1.4 16v is not fast as fuck but Jr's old spec 1.4 16v was:

Shrieck 264 cams
Pocketed pistons
BFO full system
SBD manifold
Mantzel Inlet manifold
Omex managemnt
Ported and flowed head
double valve springs

and when set up made an eleged 136 BHP which used to scare even my XE

thats the spec i would be running as its prooved...just dont be deluded into thinking a 1.4 16v is quick

cant change the cams without changing the management because you need to have the cams set of vernier pulleys, This means the cam sensor on the std management can not be used

if it lost loads of power between yesterday & today - how about getting it looked at first to see if it needs fixing, then do the above....

wouldn expect to se a noticable power gain fotm exhaust, do you have an induction kit fitted this may cause poor performance in the day while it is sucking all that hot air in.
