for some reason my boost seems to be loosing pressure.
it shoots up to 15 then drops and drops until i change gear.
ive checked DV for leaks, checked all pipes are fastened propperly,
i have a boost T and it was set to 16PSi
but the boost t has 3 ways, so i blocked one way and the boost stayed at 6psi, regardless if i unscrewed the boost t or tightened it. it stays at 6psi
if i take the plug off the 3rd exit it does as before but if i unscrew the boost t until its almost out i get 16psi then drops until i change or tight 6psi constant.
wht the hell could be wrong.
ive cleaned the boost t made it nice n shiney and cleaned the DV

Its sounding electrical to me as well, either that or you could have a very small hole/gap somewhere, so small you're missing it.

amal valve you thinkin nismole? Apart from that only other electrical thing turbo related is ecu innit?
But if it wont hold the boost, could the spring in the actuator not be getting old and thus slowly backing off as it cant hold the wastegate open?

I recall someone on another fourm ahving a problem very similar, and it turned out to be something going wrong in his ECU, I just figured as it was a simliar problem it could be a similar solution. I can't actually recall what was wrong with his ECU just that it required a new remapped version..
It could be any of the above though, its not always an obvious solution to a problem

Well possibly , the solinoids that control the boost on my car , when they went i wasnt boosting at all it would shoot up then drop off straight away , replaced them and bingo

compressor surge, basically what corb mentioned. Wastegate isnt opening properly (or similar) and the air is getting forced back in the chamber

you have solenoids controlling your boost? like an electrical actuator or something? Got any pics of that, out of curiosity.
the straight dark line is the actuator arm, on the right attached to the wastegate linkage(dont know the technical term) which in turn opens and closes the wastegate to allow more/less boost. On the very left hand side of the pic, you cant see it cos its dark - ill find you a better pic of that in a second, youve got the actuator spring housing and gubbins. Gimme a minute on that bit though!
