yes just 1 and the subframes under so much strain its probably going to break... modifying corsa subframes is an absolute bitch it took forever bodging here and there .etc
i was hoping to have it done quick as broster was gonna come down and help me but he decided not to in the end so i had to go it alone.
anyway moral of story is, it can be done but i haven't done the drivers side as i don't trust it really.... i'm going to be buying subframes and harnesses when the money comes in
also some of u said that they'd sit higher than corsa standard ones... thats a lie right there i tell thee... check it
height wise they're pretty much equal.
original subframe modified:
anyway i also have an explanation of the subframe basically i bended the original corsa mounts 90 degrees inwards... they're shown below in dark grey and have original mounts labelled X, then i cut/drilled some steel bar 2mm thick into these original mounts and made new one's for the cobra seat... labelled v. as u can see it's pretty shoot and will result in the frame being under a lot of tension .etc but i just needed to get it in tbh and i'll replace it as soon as my new job starts...
other than that i think

When I modified the original subframes to fit aftermarket seats I didn't bend the mounts 90 degrees, so thats why they sat so high.
Is the way you've done it safe? I ended up getting the proper subframes and they were such a bast*rd to fit!

i wouldnt do it m8, i did it for few months, didnt feel too safe, harnesses never fit properly on passenger side. seats creaked etc.
I put corbeau frames in and the drivin position is amazing, really low and feels gr8
honestly m8 dont put em on standard may aswell stick with standard seats imo

I'd use a 90 degree L section beam - running either side of the subfram - front to back - as opposed to how you've done it with one at the back and the two small angled ones at the front
The loads exerted will be crushing your front two beams - as the Momoents of force are exerted over such a short distance
definately better to do it my way - then your exerting the load over a bigger and longer surface area
If you use the equation (qL^2)/8 to determine the forces acting; where q is the Uniformly distributed mass, L is the length of the beams and 8 is the indication of the simply supported nature ( ie two upward point loads) you'll see that because 'l' is squared; it is the over riding factor!
sorry just had a structural Design lecture ( panel theory of Yacht Design) so get carried away with the maths of it all

plus the Corbeau adaptor bars run in the way that I said - with one L shaped beam either side of the original subframe,

please do not do this
it wasn't safe at all.... it can be safe don't get me wrong e.g. brosters where they are side mounts and he's added on extra bar but kept the original positions... the metal hasn't been bent/mishaped in anyway and therefore maintains its strength.
wat i did was a cheap fix and i wudn't do it again, i've since bought the correct subframes and they're so much better.
Live Lee is correct in all he has said.
