ok, steering wheel is shaking at 50mph, ive got brand new tyres, balanced wheels, wheels are very badly kerbed but i cant see any signs of them being buckled. also had tracking done. can they be buckled without it being obvious?? is bad kerbing enough to cause this ???

cheers

mine was exact5ly the same, couldnt see it was buckled till you look at the inside of the rim and see where it was catching on the hub casing bit when full lock was on, and it would shake under breaking at acceleration.

nar, just put the rim on the back, its all i did, problem solved, but under heavy heavy braking, it wobbles a tiny bit, but not really noticable.

Spigot rings or something are ment to sort out that 50 mph wheel shaking, my old corsa had 17's on felt like id had a power wank session driving home from college

lmao, spiggot rings didnt make a difference, so its something more serious ie. buckled. the wheels have taken a hell of a beating as they were second hand
when i got them, and ive added to the damage aswell lol.

spiggot rings are essential langey, but when your wheels are as fucked as mine , you might aswell not bother lol. they centralise the wheel on the hub mate

possibly you have a warped disk?

it's unlikely to be tracking unless its way out, you can check balancing and buckling your self, just jack the front up, start the engine, the wheels will spin slowly, see if you can see it

butler - got most of leds in place mate. look good. twat to fit tho. langey youll need new ones for your wheels.

mike.. warped disc wont cause the wheel to shake at 50. presume they are buckled. im a bit fucked if they are.

If you've got spiggot rings, had the tracking done and wheels balanced aswell as new tyres ect, sounds like your wheels are buckled mate, did u have uneven tyre wear on your old tyres?, is that why you got new ones?, if so wheels are buckled especially if they are second hand.

If they're buckled and badly kerbed like you said, then there worth fuck all, and i don't think it'll be worth sorting them out (??if you could??) so yes if i was you i'd get rid of them, and just keep your tyres.
