Sony Ericsson phones are generally better to use. Samsungs have little things that annoy you at first but then really bug you after a while.
I've used bith & I know my phones. W800i is the clear winner

everything, easy to use, grpahcs look awesome. phone looks mint, the walkman mode is superb. mp3 is brill cos its sony. picture quailty is amazing, holds so much memory.
i love mine.

do they come witha different colour case.?
silver and orange is a tad 'look at me'.

May seem a little vauge but the general day to day use of it is great.
Battery life is good, & it gives you an accurate reading of how much is left (1-100%). On Samsungs it is done with just 3 bars which often means they're charged too regularly. Also if you put it on charge for 2 mins it goes full again.Even though it isn't
Texting system is very good. Predictive text especially. If you dont use it now you will after using this phone. Nothing is hard to find (symbols etc) you can add little animations, plus when you get to the sending bit it lists the last 10 people you've sent messages to. I find it very handy Samsungs area pain to get the symbols up etc
More memory as standard. If you upgrade the memory the card may work in other devices. The Z500 uses the trans-flash card. Not many things use this
It looks better
You get the full PC suite. Get a few cool bits on the software CD too

Awaiting Orange to call me to say its in...
Sounds decent..only downside is possibly the colour...as mentioned would have liked it to be black but if its as good as people have described it im sure I can live with it...

I still think the K750i looks better! And if u stick more memory in it, does the same! I have 1GB card in my K750i

Orange dont have any, apparently there is a 2month backlog according to a CSR i spoke to yesterday 
Im awaiting mine, and sick of waiting

To Orange i just had ago cause i have to have a new number to have a free phone cause if you upgrade you have to pay 169 quid for it so they go we will knock the 30 quid off on your new contract WINNER
