was keen to get home tonight since its the last episodes of 24 on channel 7, when a modded Starlet appeared in my rearview mirror. looked pretty damn sexy indeed as it passed, noticed he wanted a bit of fun. kicked down to 2nd gear, but he had already jumped ahead, caught up at some lights, pretty even stevens, booted it, stayed dead level then pulled away the look on his face at the next lights was a picture, just been beaten by a 15year old toyota camry

yup... the 3S-GTE lives in lots of toyotas... cos its so damn good!

I would assume the block is fairly similar, but different compression ratios and obviously no turbo

no Ditch, 3S-GE, not GTE. basically its the 3S-FE but with a wider angle twin cam. 148bhp

exhaust manifold heat sheild is similar to a 3S GTE, but thats about the only similarity

i call it the Hoffmobile, im getting black plates for it soon with white or silver text, fitting updated grille, clear side and bumper indiccator lenses, and some 16" toyota alloys for $200

Nope, cambelt is on the lefthand side of the bay if looking from the front

altenator also sits in the same place... which is nice and handy

yeah mate, the easiest engine to work on!! alternator is just to the left of the exhaust heatshield in the pic above. airbox is also tucked well down in the wheel well where its nice a cool. good design IMO
