My pal had a look at the corsa today and found out there was a few things wrong, so he fixed it up untill got replacement things next week for it and so I can drive it.
Was out tonight, had a few wee things to do. Harly took the car over 30 as was in town mainly
Dropped my pal off then headed home, i was a few mins away from my house when I heard something hit the ground then the car lost power and wouldnt go anywhere, car was still running though so managed to get to the side of the road.
Went back and on the ground was a smallish bracket thing that looked like it had snapped off, was only a half circle and had large holes in it dont know where rest is and was covered in oil. Does anybody know what this is? And what has caused it?

Have had to abandon the car on a busy main street as it wont go anywhere

Thats exactly what it looked like though
A bracket which had snapped
So only half of it and its round so a half circle
Had large holes all the way around it
Was covered in oil so come from a part of the engine that has oil there

no, but what im saying is its very very unlikely to be and engine mount, unless it was cacked in oil making it look like it was a rotating/lubricated part of the engine

Might seem like a daft question... but why the fuck did you buy the car if all this was wrong with it? The whole selling point was that it was s/c'd and not even that works properly?

Must have seen you coming. Sorry.

Aparently it was all fixed bar the speedo and the belt which I was happy to get sorted
My pal got it on the ramps and found all this out plus checked the supercharger and its all looking brand new and lookes like never been wired up and working in the car.
Going to call the place who had meant to of fixed it before it went up for sale on monday see what they gotta say, what exactly they done, as for £500 of work the wires are everywhere and a few were frayed which we had to change also which were meant to of just been replaced
Dont need the car everyday so dont need to be on the road just now
