So would you say a N-reg would have had the C20XE?

Let me explain, had a play with this 16v Calibra, now if its a 134bhp model then I'm slightly concerned with the performance of my 2.2 16v if its a C20XE then I'm happy as the cars were evenly matched.

Just had a thought the early Astra SRi's have the X20XEV and they are piss poor, 0-60 9.5 seconds 125mph, I doubt they would be much better in the Calibra, must have been a C20XE.

There aren't that many changes for 1995, only the Opel logo gets integrated in the grille. The old 16 valve engine got replaced by the 2.0 litre 16 valve Ecotec from the Omega. The 8 valve and 16 valve models dissappear of the price lists in 1997, despite some limited editions, like the Iceland, DTM and Last Edition series. The 4x4 and Turbo models stick around for another couple of months, and then they vanished as well. The new Calibra successor is called the Astra Coupe, and will become widely available in the next couple of months.

Oh and yes they go in the Calibra, same as the Cavalier, 1994/1995-ish I do believe.
