Sure it saves weight but is it really worth all the extra rattles, squeaks & road noise?
Lets face it, in most cases stripped out can look a total mess & makes the car feel uncomfy.
I know JR, Rob, Teddy etc will all say stripped out but people like OJC tried it & went back to having everything back in.
So what do you think?

imo
worth doing if your car is a 2nd car/track car etc and you've done other things in an attempt to make it faster (engine mods etc) so broster, jr, etc its sensible, spent all that money, may as well get the most out of it.
otherwise its just a poor/cheap attempt to gain not a lot on a standard car, makes people look a bit silly to me, not sure how to put it but is almost a bit chavvy
"yeah man, got me corsa wiv no seats n stuff, much faster innit"
can't understand it on a near standard engine/car when its a daily drive

Well Im on the brink of buying another Corsa to basically re-house my engine. Before I was thinking stripped out was the only way to go, but then I take a look at my friends Corsa. GSI with 2.0 16v & immaculate GSI interior & it looks & feels so much better when sat in it.
Can't decide what to do

I stripped my rear when I was retrimming it, and it was pants. Even if you dont use the rear seats, it just looks tidier

I suppose my decision will hinge on what kind of interior the new car has. If it mings its all going

Hmmm not sure if a star silver Corsa would look OK stripped out. White is the best colour.

Srtipped is too noisey for every day use. When I was going up to the meet with Steve I was nearly deafened by the noise in that thing
For a fun car though I would still go for stripped out though

Stripped is not over noisey in all fairness.
People are to attached to comforts, but i like mine stipped makes the most of the engine which is in there at the moment and pushes the power the weight ratio nicely up.

Err, I prefer a smart full interior to stripped out.
In the Nova the interior doesn't weight anything anyway so was pointless, and its so much warmer and smoother with an interior and looks much much smarter.
But I love Jr's car because it works so well stripped out.
