I'm worried about moving in with the girlfriend cos she's crap with her money
I take home around 1300/1400 a month. My total outogoings including our mortgage is around 1000 leaving not a terribly great deal for everything else.
I've said I'd take care of the mortgage if Amanda does the bills, thing is i asked her this month how much she's got left (expecting her to have saved some for the move etc...) and she said "about £200"
I could of gone off on one but I don't want to rant on at her. Total bills will come to about £400 I reckon and she takes home about £700 a month.
I'm worried that we're not going to be able to afford it and that she'll waste all her money on clothes and stuff leaving me to pick up the pieces.
Anyone want to move in with us? £300 a month

oh forgot to mention, I sold my car in order to buy a £3,000 sofa and loads of other things for the house. Cutlery, plates, pictures, mirrors, all that crap. Must have spent about £500 in total on misc items.

I'd forget the idea totally until she's in a better financial situation.
You may say it won't bother you about you forking out most of the cash, but it will....believe me. I was in exactly same situation, subsequently i ran home to mummy

Corsasplash, it's a nice sofa and I had to have it
3CM, moving to Aveley mate, not too far away from where I am now.
Edd, I know need to have a proper chat with her and tell her to buck her ideas up thing is she doesn't like anyone telling her what to do so it could all get messy
Oh yes, I have to pay for the solicitors fees too
Don't get me wrong I don't mind paying for it, I earn more than her (thats not me being big headed) so I guess it makes sense if I can afford it.

she earns enough to be able to afford it, she just has to be a bit more careful with her money that's all.
I will talk to her this weekend.

don't do it?
I have to move out. Simple as that.
If things don't work out between us she can sling her hook I will get a mate in to live with me
I desperately need to get onto the property ladder and if that means purchasing one with a partner and having her leave after a while then so be it. I'm willing to take that risk.
