Kieran £200
me £600
Karen - ongoing
oh how I laughed and slammed it back in there face..
Kieran still talks about the accident to this day...He is going to go for counciling. He doesn't like Karen driving as it was her driving at the time of crash. Not slept the same since the accident... All he went through, crash/hospitals/xrays etc etc....
He came through to my room this morning at 05:30 got into our bed and then said to me, Daddy your mouth and chin were all blood after the crash, and then said to Karen he had been thinking about all the blood. Which leads me to think he is having nightmares about it..
Me: reduced claim due to the fact I didn't have my seatbelt on and this contributed to the injuries..... If he wasn't drunk and dangerous driving I would have any injuries at all....
Both my legs are scared for life due to this..
Both have been knocked back so we will see what thier next offer is.
Still haven't got any money yet for the uninsured losses either...
Karens claim will be ongoing for a while still...seeing consultants etc etc...

What happens when he decides not to pay you mav?
Where does the money come from.
Wouldn't surprise me if the cunt didn't pay you even if it ended up being thousands.
basically what i'm saying is will you defo get whatever sum it comes down to?

courts would get involved and he would be forced to payout.
It is ridiculous what you've been offered. You get like £4k when you get whiplash (my mate got £8k) and you get offered £200 for what you've been through!

Keep at it Mav, dont settle for 1st offer.
My old fella had a bad accident a few yrs ago some iditot on wrong side of road head on crash and its took 3.5yrs to sort out!
Make sure you add all the stuff about your lil lad into the claim and what he's been saying etc.
Will make claim so much stronger.
Old fella got a large sum but that was due to him needing a disk removed and 6months off work.
good luck

It's not him that has to pay out it's his insurance company....
I update the lawyer quite often if anything changes etc..
Think what they have offered for us 2 is pathetic..
as said ppl with imaginary whip lash can get 1k
see what they come back with, and depending what it is I might turn that down too...
faimly is doing not to bad now, karen still not 100% but getting on with things....
I'm fine except for the scars on my legs and the odd pain in my finger

Do you have a figure in mind that you are expecting to get? Or were you just waiting to see what they offered and then see how you felt at the time?
That is an unbelievably low figure though..

Do his insurance still pay out then?
I'm really curious about this because the bad guy normaly gets off scot free.
Is there not always a condition saying if you are drink driving your insurance is void?
Or does that just mean its only void on your side for repairing the car etc?
