ok, what im trying to get at is, the garage have meant to have replaced track rod end ball joints on both sides, but only one side looks like it has been touched.

so do these bolts need to be taken off or are they for the front ball joints, as one of them was meant to be done aswell but just on the one side

For the ball joints, there is also a 13mm bolt that needs undoing too

ball joint in on the lower arm, ie the bit your looking at

track rod ends are the bit that connect to the hub that does the steering to put it into simple terms

i had to take it back because they didnt do the tracking after and it was miles out, was trying to hold the steering wheel straight and it was going onto the wrong side of the road. so it went back in for the tracking, which still isnt perfect as i cant hold wheel straight without it going to one side, and now i've got this knocking, already been without the car for 3 days

when you put them back on cover the thread in copper grease, will come off easy next time
