im after some more stopping power for my 1.4 8v

went in a nova with a 2L cavalier set up last night and was fairly impressed.

i think id want to source some 2L/v6 calipers and a maybe a braided hose kit and some aftermarket discs to be honest because i likey the drilled/grooved design

are there many options for aftermarket discs that will fit 2L calipers off a cavalier or similar?

are there any differences between 2L / v6 set up

any reccoemendations /help aprreciated

Ive got Cav SRI setup on mine and they are pretty good. good enough to stop a big cavalier, good enough to stop a small corsa. V6 setup is a bit of overkill on a corsa IMO

v6 are better noticably than the 2litre 16v ones, but the price difference is noticeable aswell.

depends how much you want to spend. v6 look fairly big

get 256mm 2 litre astra gte discs and calipers. the problem with v6 brakes is that theres alot of travel, and when you find the grip, it grips like a motherfucker. not a smooth ride basically

I have 2.0 spec brakes on my gsi. plenty of stopping power and a decent pedal feel as well.

i have brembo grooved discs (only £66 a pair from marco at rally-nuts) and mintex 1144 pads. ( bit expensive at £80 a set, but awesome stopping power)

i can definately reccomend this set-up
