A friend of mine and member of astrasport has posted up he is selling his engine, box the lot for a great price.

I thought it would be perfect for some one wanting to a conversion on here...

Spec is:

31,600 miles from new, only done 3000 last year and 1000 this year.
Z20 LET Regal phase 3, hybrid turbo, 9 ltr IC, Courtenay precat replacement down pipe, 200 cell sports cat, 2 1/2" s/steel exhaust, BMC CDA induction kit.
All blue silicon hoses and other bits included.
F23 gearbox with Quaife ATB fitted
Rolling roaded last May 272.5 bhp and 315.2 ft/lbs.
Added to that is the CO2 kit which is supposed to produce 15 - 20% more power. (It does make a difference)

£2750 for the lot.

here is a pic of the engine bay (might not be completly upto date though.. )

The car has been featured in total vaux and redline, its extremely well cared for and I can vouch for it being in absoulte perfect condition. Its being sold to put the new VXR block in.

Would look very good in a corsa B or C

granted it should be in classifieds but I also thought some discussion on it would help a possible buyer feel more reassured regards fitment and its potential

They look pretty similar but there are a lot of internal changes that are going to make a big difference when it comes to tuning it. Pete will be wanting large power and with the new block it will be easier to achieve it.

Here is a list of the major differences between the Z20LET and Z20LEH

The pistons are High Yield Forged pistons instead of the sand cast pistons like the ZLET.
The Block has been changed to incorporate the oil spray bars for under piston cooling.
The head in extensively modified for extra cooling.
Different spec turbo charger, some may call it a Hybrid.
Different Mapping
Full frontal intercooler

That would make a nice project. However the gearbox is pretty much useless in a Corsa B conversion... Not sure about the C though. I would much rather have a newer Z20LET over a C20LET

simple matter of the money he has spent on the coupe and prefers the shape. The VXR doesnt really cater for astra G coupe buyers really.

interesting bubblevaux, in the year sI have been running astrasport I have yet to hear one of the Z20LET engines having a major failure. In fact I can only think of handfull where the turbo's have gone. Granted I havent got a massive cross section of cars to compare too but out of all the ones I know off, 80% will be tuned and none have had any problems.
