i'm trying to build a pc from scratch. its for multimedia purposes i.e photo editing, video editing, music, games etc etc
can anyone recommend a good spec. Budget is £500 for tower. no monitor, keyboard or mouse required

windows xp is currently 32bit the new xp you can get in 64bit will just run faster be more reliable and stronger and few new features most likely. Used it at work but there's not much physical difference

bought new pc and built it myself. just got one question really - the usb sockets, the mouse and keyboard seem to be powered all the time even when the pc is switched off?? is this right? or can i change this from bios or summat?
