go out remove front wheels
clean salt and road shoot from them
apply copper ease to threads
lower and raise platfroms
tape up threads with racing tape
paint shock body and mounting with clear lacker
*may be a good idea to wait untill it is morning
If you dont they may fall off!!! checked mine today they didnt look good and that was after only 2000 miles, so took above action
or do what some have done bin them and buy something else, billys anyone?

The FK Silverlines may last a bit longer as they are stainless steel with anodized aluminium. But even then the aluminium could corrode which would be a bugger.
Those Cobras look like they are electroplated which is no good...

Don't think they are galvanized. If they were then they would be the best on the market for anti corrosion because of the type of protection you get from Zinc coating. But I wont bore with that

For things that are going to be in contact with salt especially Galvanizing is great. Basically, Zinc which is used in Galvanizing is more reactive than steel, however it is non ferrous (no Iron) so it doesn't rust. So absically, if you coated a piece of steel in Zinc you would get protection from rust like you would get if you painted it as you are putting a barrier up. But, the interesting thing about galvanizing is the sacraficial protection you get too. As I said Zinc is more reactive than steel, so, if you got a chip in the galvanizing coat and some steel was exposed, the steel wouldn't immediately rust as the zinc would react instead. After a time all of the Zinc would degrade and the steel would rust, but that would take a bloody long time!

Zinc protects the iron by cathodic protection, since it is higher on the electrochemical scale than iron and will sacrifice itself to protect the iron, reducing it to the metal and eliminating rust

In theory you could actually stick a few hefty sized blocks of zinc onto your coilover struts to protect them... It's what they do to ship hulls to prevent them from rusting.
