..... started work on fitting the OMP 10point cage.

Managed to get it up the garage in one go.... the Range Rover is very useful

First we put the front in..... no probs.... most things seemed to line up.
Then we tried the rear.... hmmm... no danger that was going in with the front.

Removed the front, and played around with the rear to get it fitting right. A few big bashes with a hammer and some swearing sorted that out The tried the front again... the only pain in the ass was getting the roof bars to match up to get the sleeves and securing bolts in place.... once that was done (kicking, hamering etc) we offered the brackets up to see how they'd fit.... not very well as they were supplied!!! 20mins with an angle grinder produced one nice bracket

joy...

a bit more grinding and some welding tonight....

i removed the rear windows to help

ripped off the remains of the sunroof shutter too

poor car

I think Fee might have some snaps on her mobile....

welded in the 2nd front mount..... preped the 1st roll hoop mount..... drilled the floor etc...

but ran out of gas to weld

i've ARC welded before, but that was my first attempt at MIG

Also had to cut a big rusty section of out the floor by the left hand middle bracket right above the fuel tank tooo.... arse
