Back onto the thoughts of getting a new car, and onto the realisation that i'll be 21 with hopefully 4 years no claims.
What i peoples views on these.
I'll have around 7-8k to spend tops but i really think they are stunning. My mate used to have one of these and i remember it being quick.
I know they are an awesome car in terms of perormance but what are peoples other views on them. Comfort and everything else? Plus what would insurance be like on one if i'm 21

I have one, and its for sale

Performance - low 6's to 60, 145mph.
Handling is phenomenal.

The ride is stiff but not boneshaking, its not really a comfort car as such, more of a balls out drivers car. However its comfy enough for me, the recaros hug you nicely

Im 22 with 2 years no claims and paying £950 with Greenlight.

Id say its a great choice of car. I think if I had to have a front wheel drive performance car then the ITR would be in my top 3.

Integra CD2 in that budget.

Handling is amazing, second to none.

Performance high 5's to 60.

Comfort factor, well not that high really, but that's not what they're designed for!

Overall quality cars, go for it!

Good good, well i dont want a car that is gonna be fast but not really feel it if you get me.

I'm only young so want sumthin a bit lairy and was thinkin this will meet the criteria perfectly, bearing in mind it will be end of this year maybe even possibly early next year so i reckon 8k should get me a minter by the time we reach next year. Want a red one

Dont really know the models but guessin the DC2 is the newer one, i personally prefer the older one

round headlights are uk spec. square are JDM spec. slightly more power with JDM, lights look the bollox, intake pipe is slightly bigger on JDM,no rear wiper, indicators on right stalk and wipers on the left, and final drive ratio is better on JDM.

Yeh the JDM's are better, but insurance is group 20 instead of 16 as it's an import

accord might be a saloon but its faster than the itr and ctr (224bhp). im one of the few people who prefers the uk dc2 but i think the jdm ones are cheaper but probably a bitch to insure at 21

How much better is the Dc5
Plus how do the two Dc2's fair against each other performance wise, the uk and Jdm spec ones?

the dc5 is more tame, bigger engine 2.0vtec, looks tamer than JDM dc2. the JDM dc2 starts killin the uk spec teg at about 60mph. JDM all the way!

OK, so no carbon bonnet

It wont be left totally standard, was thinkin the 17's of a Civic Type R painted white on it instead of the standard 15's

but it will still be a long time away

itrs handle best on the standard 15's, only thing you want to be modifying is the engine
