Probably not the right place to ask - but I need some aesthetic opinions of the following yacht I'm working on for my dissertation (Beng: yacht and Powercraft Engineering)

As for aesthetics, has some nice, clean lines. It's simple, but that's part of the appeal. Particularly like the way the steps at the stern are cut into the hull shape, can't really see much else, try posting some different views if you like?

Does it all 'work' in that software? I use Solidworks and I can't model rope or aything soft/elastic like sails properly as it's not designed for that kind of thing. Looks interesting though

ignore the hull wobble at the bow - its due to an issue with uni's copy of MaxSurf not liking points

Ed - MaxSurf is a hull design program which plugs directly into Rhino so it works well

Flamingo's the Rhino plug in renderer and it wors well - as for saisl etc - I've bilt up a material library that I use for "paid" work - but for dissertation I've just used plastic and set the transparency

thats the other option - but they want 2D - Rhino's got a useful function - for converting 3D drawings to 2D - so might do that - transfer to AutoCad so I can have an ISO surround and bobs your uncle

Hmm, never thought of that, have used the 2D thing in Rhino then built up a GAD in Photoshop, but forgot you can get the proper surround with Autocad. Could come in handy...
