Iaz that plug I *think* is for the RON plug - this sits in the engine bay on Nova GSi/GTE's on the bulkhead panel near the brake servo.
My opinion is that you should get a 95/97 plug, set it on 97 and run it on Shell Optimax but aslong as it is set on 97 you shouldn't use normal unleaded in it.

never done that sort of conversion but id say rip all the old loom out. u will be left with that 9 pin plug in the footwell buy the ecu. with the plug with 4 wires. i would say green is rev counter. blue is pemp sender red live black ign live so could all be run to the footwell and matched up there colour for colour

so lee those are the only wires that we need to ge the engine running?? we just plugged the alternator and started intot he old loom that was left in there so guess thats all gonna work ok!

so now all we need to do is run wires from the nova loom into the colours in the footwell on that 9 pin plug that i have found??

like lee says. The black and red are live and ignition live. green is rev counter etc.

I remember this from the 1800 conversion i did on a mates nova years ago.

Progress from the day:- just gon in now .......shattered!

we had to mess about with water hoses and changed few but thats all ok now, one to header tank needs shortening, we also re wired the fuel pump to igntion, then we were getting fuel and spark, then messed about with the firing order etc etc.............thenks to alot of txt messages to lee michel ( conversion legdend) we finally got it started, moved car around to the pit and set up gears drove up and down the drive and then throttle seemed to stick open, and now its idling really high, if we had rev counter working properly wud see wot it was!!!! to high to run!

so thats the prob now, its like its sucking air into engine from some valve so opening throttle up to let more fuel thgouh! also got alternaor light on......ummmm

anyone got any ideas on the high idling???
