Make your own footballing brazilian name here are the ingredients...
INHO means little eg. Robinho is an evolution of little Robson
You could use the first 2 letters of your mothers christian name eg. Edmilson (edna)
AO being a sufffix meanin BIG eg big Luiz = Luizao, very big defender for Benfica
DO also means BIG eg big Ronald , Ronaldo
V/Waldo is another suffix which can be used taken from fathers name eg Rivaldo
The last part of your Brazilian football name comes from what region you live in
eg.
Marcelinho CARIOCA a northern state
Ronaldinho GAUCHO Gaucho du sul
Juninho PERNAMBUCANO Mid-east state
Pronounciations.
R is prounounced 'Ho' in Brazil Honaldino,Hobinho,Honaldo etc
They don't pronounce R's like Brits.
AO is pronounced 'OW' also eg 'SOW POW LOW' Sao Paolo.
Nicknames= Ze being short for Jose,Thiago short for Santiago,Kaka/Caca short for Carlos
There will some funny and silly names from this board but should befun anyways.
Jizinho Silva (Little Jimmy/Jizieri, Silva mothers maiden name)

Rivaldo His fathers name is Waldo and his mother's name is Rina.
First two letters of his mums name, together with the full name of his dad gives you Rivaldo.
It doesn't sound very good with British names or locations but you get the jist, there is a lot of Anglo-Saxonian names in Brazilian football and this is to show their thanks for bringing the game to them, as the British railworkers took the game over to Brazil years and years ago, many names like Anderson, Robson, Jefferson etc...
Robson = Robinho
Anderson is a Brazilian youth player they say he's going to be the next Ronaldinho, and Anderson Polga who played centre half in the 02 WC.

If you were quite tall or agreesive you could have Carlao, there is actually a few players with that name, the most famous one being the Corinthians midfielder.

I'm quite tall, 6ft 2. May nickname at football was Horse due to being strong on the ball, translated that into bralialian and got Cavalo! my second name is britton so swapped, baptista (beast iirc) to Brittista. Added Da silva for effect.

El Bestia means 'The Beast' in portuguese, they just call him that because of his stocky build, not relevant to baptista, easy to confuse the two.

Nathy would have responded by now but the rage has caused him to launch his PC at his girlfriends, ex boyfriend "lodger's" head.
