Yeah, you are right Rick, they no longer sell SRi Corsa's, but have simply rebadged them as SXi+.
I have a 1.8 SRi and have never had any major problems with it. Great car IMO.

Welcome mate, yeah they got rid of the SRI its now called the SXI+ which is pretty gay. Why not lookout for a late SRI to save getting all the depretiation for yourself.

Oh, and yeah it is currently the fastest production Corsa, until the Corsa D VXR comes out, but doubt that will be for some time.

Yeah car is pretty good in all gears, reasonable torque for what it is, and unless your up against something extra sporty it doesn't usually come second.
As someone has already said I wouldn't buy a new one as they lose too much money. I got mine 2 1/2 years old for £5.5K, quite a saving on £12.5K new.

When I was looking for a car, which was about 18 months ago, there wasn't anyway of going faster for the same insurance group.

IMO, you'd find it very hard to find a car which is as new, is as quick, looks as good, and comes with as much equipment as a standard 1.8 Corsa, for the same money.
