right maj(hitman off here) dropped his car off on monday.....didint get to start it till few days ago, finally got all other jobs done and out the way for now aos cracking on with it inbetween work( which is stupidly busy this weekend cos of mothers day)
here are some pics to wet your apitite...........
also, do u think the twin headlight will look betta or wose then normal lights under that bonnet cos it will be quite alot of work to get them to fit just wondered if u think it will be worth it????
here are some pics with jagcorsa.......
and some pics of progress..........
rear lights are getting blended in then smoothed off and painted, was gonna do this with metal but confident that the way i have done them now they dont crack!!!
smoother roof rails off, welded plates in and just skimmed with little fibreglass ready for skim of filler!!
getting rid of cracks in bumper, also totally modding the front bumper which is gonna be quite a challange and fun i hope!!
the car with front lights without front parts on cos this was only way i could get bonnet closed so far!!!

iaz, i dont think i would smooth the lights over with fibreglass personally, i think it would be worth spending the extra amount of time and weld it

i was thinking this but the way i have fixed the lights there is gonna be no flex in it at all so wont crack!!! well thats the plan anyway! they have been fibreglassed underneath and on top where u can c, not i am gonna screw all along the edge to make sure they are not gonna move anywhere!!!!!
its not gonna be painted for month+ so if it cracks in that time i will do in metal otherwise i think its gonna be fine!

IAZ its not about the movement that causes it to crack, its the fact that metal and plastic/fibreglass expand at different rates in different temperatures, this is what causes the cracking so no matter how firm the parts are they will crack.
id weld em now tbh

looks very gd work there and also rear lights may be ok if there all held in well but the colour may be different on them and filler on them doesnt stick to well!
ur paint suppliers are the ones near me and the guy is great in there, highly reccommend them!

i personally wouldnt trust that stuff in such a great quanitity, such as on the bumper. Would use real fibreglass, resin and mat, myself.
But you seem to certainly no your stuff and much more than me thats for sure.
Keep up the good work mate
