What a bastard though! I threaded the bastard locking wheel nut as some numpty did it up too tight, getting it off did this to my torque wrench
And this to my finger
Had to resort to this to get the bastard off
Finally all painted up

Did you remove them first, or just paint around them?

never mind new tyres, always handy to know theyre going to come off if you ever have to change a flat!
WHAT THE FUCK were you doing using a torque wrench to undo something that tight? They invented breaker bars for that!
Locking wheelnuts were invented by the devil!
Shame you just painted rounbd them, but I can see if you need the car daily then removing them is an arse! The gold looks good, like new calipers, but for that very reason its too subtle for me. all mine are gloss black and really shiney, although I was almost tempted on white for some odd reason!

Local tyrefitters did same to me, its when they whack the bolts in with the airgun without putting them in a few turns by hand first.

well halfords is shut, and thats the biggest wrench i had to attach to the socket i banged on, i didnt expect it to break like that
had to rig up some steel tube on the end of the small wrench you can see in the end
I ended up jumping up and down on it to undo it

Looks good. Think I'm gonna do my calipers and drums gold as like said above it makes them look like they have been freshly galvanised

When i read "painted my calipers" i was expecting something tacky but they dont look bad at all.
One of my car's had red painted calipers (done by previous owner), but they're binding so i bought another set from a scrappy... and they're blue!!!

Certainly looks better than before, but if it was me I'd paint them red, goes well with the black
