so i had the car in for an MOT this morning and well to cut a long story short it failed... seems the lighting around the car was a major failing point. 1. the beam was to high 2. the sidelights weren't legal (forgot to change) 3.rear numberplate light was out 4. lambda failure on emissions 5. handbrake is to high and not effective enough...
anyway we think lambda may be cos its sat around for 3 months and not been moved except to the MOT, it was only 0.01 over the limit which is a bit annoying...
oh well they didnt charge me and they topped my oil up for free but it's back on monday after i've changed a few things and they're also gonna sort some stuff out... but sadly the EM light came on on the way back so i'll have to get it on diag's
Anyway other than that stinga dropped his car off at mine this morning nice and early as he went off to work and i fitted his -60mm suspension for him. has come out very nice and i just think he needs to sort out his exhaust as it bangs and something was rubbing but other than that it looks check it out...

I put the standard headlights on for MOT and they had to adjust the beam as they were pointing sky high from when I had been pissing about with them lol. They didn't fail it though, they just adjusted it and then carried on doing the rest of the MOT...
Silver Corsa looks good

with a vaux jack yes, or with a ramp with a rubberblock
would never actully use and axle stand there though, as it will fold the seam over
not takign away anything from your work sam, top job

You should put them on the rear beam Rob.
Putting them there will perforate the paint and rust treatment and generate corrosion.

she didn't really have a choice she came back and the drive had been taken over so she was forced to wait on the road as for the emissions i hope so
as for some of the other comments,
The MOT and lights - he tried adjusting them using the white dial on the back but i dont think he realised u can use the dial in the car as it was on the highest setting so i just set them down lower and also drilled an extra hole to dip them even more as its mounted higher up... hopefully it'll be alrite...
Jr never realised you couldn't use it there but i've never had any problems with it? as Rob M said i think it's ok... but for future use i may have to relocate my stand positioning!
stinga, i'll keep an eye out for your centre cap mate
Jake, i'm closer.
erm, yes here sister's a lovely girl
that's about it... thanks for the comments lol
oh yeah Wrighty i'm working on that mate some on eBay at the moment and i'll see how the bidding goes
