I have PAS and i drive loads of cars at work without, personally i'd hate not to have it. Probably because im scrawny though.

I don't have PAS and the only time its very obvious is, as someone's already said, when parking. can be annoying

is it worth me paying the extra 500-600 for a sport in the same con just for the power steering?

IMO it aint worth it mate. the sport interior is better but that and PAS dont justify an extra 600. and sometimes its better without PAS anyway, like on b roads

id disagree there. my sport was much better behaved and better to chuck about on b roads than my sri is, even on the same suspension
the sport felt safer
sport will also have less miles and look better

Iv drove cars before without it and i never bothered cos it gets lighter as you drive anyway and like you said for b roads etc. Its not as easy to oversteer and understeer aswell apparently?

My car doesn't have it but the car I had 11 lessons in (my instructors) did. Parking/manoevering was a lot easier in hers but to be honest when driving more....'spirited' you feel more in control of the car which has gotta be better

I have the electric power steering in my SXi. I actually appreciate having it because I have to paralell park/shoehorn my car into an available space on my street.
