New ps3 controller looks the same as the old one, but has 6 axis movement sensing.
You move the controller and the game responds, looks very very coo.

November 17th launch, a 20gig hd version and a 60gb version.
499 and 599 euros respectively.
Which is at current exhange rate, 342 and 410 pounds.
Which is a bit crap because as usual the US get it for $499 and $599.

a) i doubt it'll be released then anyway (as it was originally meant to be christmas last year, then spring, then whenever ... i think)
and
b) It'll be half that price after christmas
and
c) I want one whenever anyway... Been waiting an age for it!

Well sony had just said when I posted that that is the Europe/Australasia(pal) launch date.
I doubt that price will drop for a while.
Bluray is driving it up quite a bit although thats a lot of extra money for only 40 gig extra.
I can't wait to get a shot of that controller.

Yeah, i can't disagree with that, my previous post was, obviously my personal opinion, so we'll see.
The controllers are wireless bluetooth as well yes?

i might buy 2 after the xbox 360 fiasco, and sell one on ebay for christmas dinner.
but then again, only buying a console to play GT5 and Pro Evo is a bit weird

Its got 6 axis movement sensors.
They've kept the same design because it works.
It will totaly change the way you interact with games.

So, what does the 6 axis movement mean exactly?
You tilt the controller back n forth to move or something?

Thats it basically, when ur playing gt4 for instance and u move the controller to try and get round a corner, that will actually work.
I'm sure the demo will be somewhere, the E3 one was a flying game.

Haha, that'll screw me over completely, i'm always moving the controller around everywhere, good idea, and i'm sure it'll be turn-offable (like analog sticks are) And/Or easily learnable anyway

The nintendo conference is on just now.
The Wii controller looks like it could be brilliant when you get used to it.
Totally different way of using it compared to anything seen before.
The console doesn't seem to have much muscle though.

and the price of the ps3 is ridiculous.
why have a version with no hdmi port when its a blu-ray player
and why should consumers have to pay massive amounts more for blu-ray if they dont want it
sony is basically forcing the technology on you whether you want it or not
im not saying theyre getting things wrong with ps3 i just don think its going as well as it could

as for the whole blue-ray, HD DVD - both have there advantages and disadvantages - the one thats backed the most will be pushed further.
Saying that, i believe someone has developed a hologram disk capable of sotring 300GBs - now that is something that is impressive

Bluetooth is small, light and low power.
The new controller is lighter than a current wired one.
