Got the choice of 15" or 16" Which would be better (obviously a profile choice is needed)
For handling purposes? Would the 15 be better because its smaller? or would the 16 be better because i would run a lower profile which means less tyre roll?
The other thing to consider is that i may want big brakes? Now would a 4 pot with a 280mm odd size disc fit behind a 15 for instance??

15's are generally the accepted size when it comes to handling.

I think with a decent tyre choice on the 16's how ever they couldnt be that far behind.
Im thinking about the brake issue as well of choice - i would be able to fit bigger discs behind those.

195.45 r 15 is the cosest you will get to the original sizes corsa were designed for, and prefferably stick to correct width and offset.
you can get pretty close with 16s, with 40 profile tyres, but they are slightly bigger, tend to be 6.5-7 inches wide and are therfore much heavier and its all in the wrong place (unsprung)
The way if go for handling is the lightest set of 15 inch wheels I could find, prolly some multispoke design, in 6j x 15 et49, and then 4 pots on 285mm disks behind them. The only reason youd ever need 16s is if you wanted to fit vectra 308s and they are ridiculousy heavy and not as good as say a willwood 285 kit.

if your going for the wheels you mentioned tedy, im pretty sure they will be lighter than standard wheels. even in 16" guise.
IMO handling is down to preference. The wider the tyre the more grip you will have. the smaller the profile the less flex you will have and more stability.
Id go with the 16"s for that very reason.

there 15's with 288MM discs
with 50mm khumo profile tyres.
( would look good with 45 or 40 )

also depends what roads you use mainly etc,
i've found a lower profile round here doesn't help much as there's nothing to absorb the bumps etc, so i get throw to wrong side of road alot

i got a U2U off you, dunno if this is what your looking for.  15's with 195/45 tyres.
take it your going for rota wheels and a big drop? Only standard brake's but i've been told 284mm disc's would fit behind these, but not sure to be honest.

They are what i want, but... i need to make some choices.....
Leave the arches as they are (black) and fit those wheels in black.
Or colour code the car and fit white.
And bearing in mind i would like to do track days and the like - do i buy 15's or 16's.
Im worried 15's will "look" to small (Viper yours dont, i thinking because of colour)
But i know 15's will be better all round - but saying that if i want 4 pots or bigger brakes then 16's would be a better choice.

I think you should go for 16s. Will still handle well and gives you more options with brakes. plus yes 15s do look too small

i reckon if you keep the arches black and have black wheel's in 15's they will look spot on but on the other hand colour coded with white 15's they may look a tad small, as looking at the close up of my front wheel they do look a bit small, but you don't really notice it from far away.
15's would be better all-round i would say, but if you wanted bigger brakes than 288mm then you would have to go for 16's.
not much help as that what you basically just said.

Do 288's not fit behind 15's then? I thought they did?
Broster has v6 behind 15's?
To all doubters that 15's would look small - look at Stoneygingers car I think that is spot on - but obviously the above style of wheel is totally different.
anyone fancy doing a shop if you have a side on shot of my car?

288 will fit (so i've been told), but if you wanted say 308 or something bigger (dunno why 288 are plenty good) then go for 16's.
post a pic of your car and will have a go later on.

keep arches black, get the rims, then fit and decide whats best
sometimes the black bits help make the car look less tacky

just chucked those rims on as they are, lowered a little and got rid of handles (which you prob don't wanna do)
