yes, yes it does, i've had a car full with 3 passengers and lots of luggage in a 1.2 8v corsa, down hill's you will get the most speed it will ever reach in it's life, about 50mph.

we hit a hill on the M25 and was doing 35 in the crawler lane, even the lorries moved to the centre lane

Which reminds me i need to get my new car sorted before september otherwise it will be the same situation all the way from essex to the lake district

the closest i've been to ur situation in my 1.2 8v is when we tried to remove a tree from our front garden and after cutting all the roots and branches we tied it up to the back....

the result was.... the tree didn't move and the chasis was making funny noises for a while! mind u.. this was a small tree! (trunk was about 15-20cm diametre)

Just got back from our little 'outing'

Results were basically...it was so shoot slow! I thought it was slow before aswell

We hit a really slight hill, I was in 2nd at about 15mph and it was loosing speed changed down to first, kept it at 20mph ish in first because if I changed to 2nd it would loose the momentum

All in all a funny night out and a warning, never take more than 3 people in your 1.2 8 valve!!

Yea it did

On the way home it felt so nippy

What's the max weight a corsa is supposed to have on board? I'd say this was probably more than a 1.2 should have had!

4 people in a Corsa makes them handle badly and the brakes become piss poor. They are only designed for one or 2 people at a time

Be careful!

I realised that!

My breaks are really worn, have only got 500-1000 miles left max so it's bad enough on my own!

The handling...well obviously I wasn't pushing it round corners (obviously had to in straights to get anywhere) but it didn't seem too bad.

At the end of the day it's a 5 seater, if it wasn't meant to carry 5 Vaux wouldn't have put 5 seats in! Although I don't like doing it, absolutely no power what so ever
