Brother has a 1996 corsa vegas 1.2...

i'm not sure if these are 8v or 12v

Going to get him a service kit for his bday as we both need them doing lol

Also what oil does it take?

15w-40 oil....does it sound like its permanantly missing??..if it does its 12v

No such thing as a 12v 1.2. Most probably 8v.

Look at the engine:

Not in no corsa ever to leave vauxhall...

There was:

1.0 12v, 1.2 8v and a 1.2 16v

NO 1.2 12v

The original question asked whether the 1.2 was 8v or 12v. It can't of course be 12v.

its a 1.2 8v

it takes 10w40 semi synthetic oil.

10w 40 semi synth, and as has been said it's a 1.2 8v beast. The only 12V in a Vauxhall is the 1 litre AFAIK.

Won't matter much..it's a hardly a performance car

Just go to Halfords and get the most expensive, that's what I do

i always read duckhams was good but helfrauds didnt sell that... castrol or something then lol

castrol gtx £25 in halfords, one of the best oils IMO. well its even better when u get 2x 4.5l for £30

Better trying to find someone who is just a normal bodyshop, not one who just does modified cars. They usually take more care in their work.

went to reg vardy today and got service kit

4 spark plugs
oil filter
air filter
pollen filter
fuel filter

£23

he sed £40+ at firat and he said do you mind what you are... so im thinking wtf but said no anyway.

he said your a taxi thats £23 please
