(in light of what i just posted in mavs thread) Anyone seen this about? Saw it on fifth gear a while back so may well have been a repost but i rather like it

http://www.thurlbymotors.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=89&Itemid=99

Little bit of discussion about it on PH to; http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=23&h=&t=276473

Only problem was it does appear to smoke quite a lot

Look nice, theres a white one round near me. Was'nt much slower than the VXR either, beat it from a rolling start anyway and wasnt much slower round the track.

Taken from: http://www.autocarmag.com/FirstDrive_Summary.asp?RT=219001

"That said, this is still a very fast hatchback, reaching 60mph in just 6.8 seconds and capable of a claimed maximum of 145mph."

"Thurlby has fitted a two-stage engine management system to the 1.9-litre turbodiesel, upping its power output from 149bhp to 160 in normal mode, and to 195bhp when you hit the car’s Sport button. In that mode, the engine also produces 300lb ft of torque."

Not bad figures for a standard car price of £17,875 and then a mere £120 for the Thurlby/888 goodies
