306 gti-6
i really wasnt impressed with the overall performance of mine.. 1st and 2nd were quite long gears i though... went through 3rd 4th and 5th pretty quick though, 6th was pretty much overdrive
Handling wise it was superb..
Could build a good XE corsa for £1500 if u can do the work urself..
205 gti seems to be popular, you just have to look at posts/remarks on Ak's to know that though

i'd go for 106 rallye/xsi/gti or 306 rallye or gti 6. 205, Or maybe a clio 16v as there are shit loads of them about, the shell and bits are cheap has chips.

Corsa because you already have it so won't have to spend 1500 to get it upto scratch (I'm guessing???)

205's are renound for having great handling, so I'd say the 205's

309 is a 205 with a boot and a wider track though.... just thinking it might grip better?

If you don't know then simply don't answer, he doesn't want assumptions on the handling he want's to know facts or at least info from someone who has driven a 205 and a 309 enough to compare.

it's not a 7 lap ride round the local town trying to pick up young slags! its a track car, as long as it handles well and goes then who cares what it looks like!

i'd be happy with either a Clio 16v/ Williams, or a 205/309 GTi/Mi16
all but the williams seem to fall into my price range too

choclate gearboxes on the clios tho, great as they are round a track you kinda need it to be reliable.

scratch off the corsa as well, cost too much to make it quick.
