Hello.

Ok, K reg Corsa LS with 20XE at the front, H&R coilovers all round, 15" wheels, decent tyres, ARB on the front removed and full interior.

my car's rear feels twitchy when coming off the power and coming round a slight bend, like a bend on a dual carrriageway.

Braking a tad on brends makes the back go oooh and just doesnt feel confident, is this a case of fiddling with the brake baisis(sp) or should i try the aftermarket rear ARB everyone goes on about?

ARBs help a bit, but what your experiencing is lift off oversteer.

There is good lift off oversteer, for example clios, 106s and saxos that are easy to control and progressive, and there is bad lift off oversteer that is hard to control and as you say, twitchy. Its little to do with the engine up front, its because corsas have a fucking shite suspension setup on the rear, theres far to much flex in the components.

Take it out on track, find the limits, learn to drive it fast, theres more to it that just burying each pedal in the carpet. That way when you go past the limit (and you will ) the likelyhood of dying in a spectacular fireball of glory is significantly reduced.

the only time my car hasnt done this is when I had eibach springs, the body roll was a bit poo with them being soft but I think with some decent ARB's the eibach springs could be the answer.

What have you got the tyre pressures set at?
I found mine very twitchy to begin with but then checked and adjusted the tyre pressures and it was like a different car.
Since then ive dropped them a little more and im more than happy with it!

IIRC it was a 1.2 8v to start with? if so it doesnt have a brake bias valve. i found mine to be a little twitchy but you get used to it, i can feel when its about to go so i just act accordingly.

aaah right my bad, just slacken it off as much as possible, if the spring is still tight then take it off and stretch it if possible. other than that learn to drift

Slacken as much as possible, I thought these were quite sensitive and naughty when you adjust them?

you can make a little bracket to adjust the spring so it is slacker. Just need a couple of bolts and some metal

my first one had one, my second one didnt my 3rd 4th and 5th had them

look on the rear axel for a rusty looking spring going between the the chasis and rear beam on the drivers side
that will hook onto a alloy block with 4 brake pipes goin into it

if its not there then you have the inline ones
