He'll probably get some stick at first, but if the team are doing well I'm sure it will be forgotten about.

I'm not sure about this but the majority of united's fan base aren't in England are they?
If so they won't give a toss about it.

They are a world club and have a large Asian fanbase, but I'm pretty sure they have the most fans over here.

First match, he'll get boo'ed a bit, will be forgotten in time to come and he'll probably be wishing he scores so winning goals to get liked again.

Won't take very long to get over it I don't think. People forget that yes, he does dive alot, but when he wasn't diving I thought he had some amazing runs with the ball and frightend the life out of any defender he came against. If he plays well it'll be forgotten about pretty quickly.

Unless the bloke *completely* changes his playing style it WILL NOT be forgotten.

Man U supporters may forgive him (I guess thats what counts to the club ) but nobody else will.

He's gonna get shit all season. His stepovers/diving was hard enough to take before the WC, now its common knowledge to a wider audience it will be open warfare.

Yet another 'he's not for sale, come and get him' press release IMO.
