My mate decided last week to start up a 6 a side football team playing on astro turf. I've told him I'll join and we're going to have our first practice next monday, going to be about 12 of us I think until we sort it out. I havn't played football properly since I was at school lol, looks like I'm about to find out just how fit I really am! Go to gym, running etc but I just know I'll be knackered, probably make an arse of myself too!!!

Really god turn out tonight. I just couldn't run though, as soon as I did both calfs/ankles started killing me. I was playing on an uneven field on Saturday, dunno if thats contributed to it.

I ended up playing in goal, and I actually did a pretty good job even if I do say so myself! Saved quite a few good shots and didn't let in half as many as the other side!

I just can't believe the pain I'm in though, its just not fair! I wanted to get out there and run with the ball!

20 extra people said they would be coming down tonight and they've all dropped out! Why say your'e going to do something if you really don't want to!

On the plus side I bought shin pads and new socks tonight

Ankles and calfs still hurt from the other week

First kick about for a few weeks and I was in goal again. A lad pulled his hamstring so he went in goal and I went out for the last 15-20 minutes for the first time since our first game! I'd knackered both my ankles from that night but I seemed ok tonight. I ran out of steam before I got tired though, must get fitter! Hopefully I'll be alright and get some more fitness built up. Decided I wanted to play midfield when we started but I've been hobbling around like a cripple for the most part!
