Hi guys,

Does anyone know of any forums or websites for the Escort RS Turbo?

I know of www.rsownersclub.co.uk , but I want one specifically for the Escort.

Thinking about buying one as a second car / weekend car.

Just wondering how much I should be paying for a properly tuned car with good body work?

Also is it best to get one with the 1900 CVH for reliability?

I take it your looking at S2's and not s1's ???

1900 tall block wont mean more realible

i would keep with the well know filter/chip/system mod on a 1600 CVH,
that would see around 180bhp, and be realible as long as its looked after, i know of a compltley standard s2 going down here for about 2600, passionford is the best place to look for clean examples though

if your thinking of more power etc, speak to SVM286 on here, his 1.6 S2 is running 286bhp

Good idea to have a daily driver Mark as the gearbox in the turbo is like a hair triggered pistol weilding schitzophrenic or a time bomb with no obvious timer.

I paid 8.5k for mine 6 years ago.

Don't go for a 1900, they are shit.

Also, prepare to sell the shirt off your back in order to gain more horsepower if you decide to buy one of these.

It's worse than heroin addiction and far more costly.

Pretty menacing Lupo lurking in the background there.

Little bastard raped me over the 1/8th of a mile.

Btw, this is one of my favourite pics because she looks blacker than KITT filled with Guiness & liquorice, and you can't see how disgustingly filthy she is.
