Ok folks, whats your realistic hopes for your team this season?

We made the Play Off Semi finals last year, should have gone through to the final but we bottled it so will be looking to at least equal that, if not go one better.

We've signed a new keeper and Luke Becket who should get us 20 goals a season. I'd still like to see another centre midfielder brought in, as well as a centre half but with the squad we have I expect us to be challenging for promotion, and will dissapointed if we dont at least make the play offs.

The only things that worry me are teams like Notts Forest and Bristol City, both of whom are favourites to be go back. Both have had a season to adjust of the stlye of play of the lower leagues and IMO will both be challenging for Promotion.

However if we get off to a good start and can get Beckett, Pav and Boothy playing well and scoring, and cut out some the stupid, stupid goals that we gave away last season then I think we should do ok.

I think we have a very good chance of winning this season. Few vital players returning , and maybe a few younger playings breaking through in to the first team. We may even have a new player to strengthen the squad too!

I think realistically we will give Chelsea more of a challenge this year, but I think they will just clinch it from us. The FA Cup and or Carling Cup is definatley on the cards though.

Of course I'd love them to win everything though, and I hope they do!

I see us pushing on further this season and getting closer to Chelsea. I still think they will win the title but I cant see them being more than 5 or 6 points ahead of us.

Our problem last season was so wingers and forwards to get plenty of goals. Now we've Pennant, Gonzalez, Bellamy and probably one more forward to come yet who will fill that gap. Our defence was as good as Chelseas last season and cant see that changing.

this is not just because Im a liverpool fan but...

Chelsea have added to their squad this year, Liverpool have added to their squad this year, yet all you've done is sell a player who scores 20+ goals a season for you. I dont think you'll be challenging until you make some good signings!

Have made 4 good signings in Andy Gray, Alan Mahon, Steve Jones and Steve Foster. I'd hope for a top half table finish and outside chance of playoffs if we keep the squad clear of injuries and suspension (Burnley) having under performed last couple of seasons.

As for my team.

I like to think that the hatters will be challenging for play off places, howver i think a top 8 finish would be fantastic for us.

Reallistically I'd hope we could be back up pushing for 4th this season with a few more signings.
I'd hope for another good cup run and hopefully we could win the league cup!

I'll put money on that too at the moment. You have a chance IF you replace RVN and get a midfield, but otherwise youve not chance of even being above Spurs!

im not really sure how this season will go, im expecting chelsea to win it again, but hoping arsenal put up more of a fight, liverpool have a very good chance and Man U are always contenders, i hope its more interesting this season than last with chelsea walking it. i like a bit of a top table battle!

Nothing wrong with being ambitious, but realistically a top 6 finish in the league is pretty much the nest we can hope for. Also a cup would be nice, even the Carling would do

not just for you, in the past aswell. He isnt the prolific scorer like RVN, there arent many people who can score that many...RVN, Henry, Shearer, Andy Cole, Fowler, Philips...thats about it!

realistically I don't think we can compete with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool at the moment. We have purchased 1 'big'ish name' player and that's it. No way can you compete with the amounts of money Chelsea are spending.

I'd be very happy with a top 3 finish this season and a good run in the CL. I think this is the start of some very good things to come for Arsenal. I can feel it in my water
