Will go to Man Utd this afternoon for £18 million.
Over priced i think, as he ain't a complete midfielder.
Bad for spurs to lose this player but good business in money terms.

Spurs are divvs for selling him. If they want to become big they need to keep hold of their assets.

I expect it to be around 15-16mil, I cant see Spurs letting him go for less. Bit suprised they let him go at all, shows a lack of ambition IMO.

he certainly isnt the hardman who will control the midfield like Keane which is what you need. But will no doubt be a good buy for you seems most your midfielders are wingers!

He is nowhere the same type of player as Keano so he's never going to fill that gap. Regardless of how hard you look its going to be so hard to replace keane. Those midfielders don't come through very often.
only player i think that will reach Keane level is Gerrard if he is not infact there already.
What carrick will give you is a good passing game.
He can't tackle and he hasn't got the influence on other palyers in him that Keano had though.

but doesnt Scholes already give you that passing game?
Another thing that has got me confused me is that your being linked with Senna again. He is another midfielder who is more of a winger than a defending central midfielder like you need. I can only think that Ronaldo is on his way out if your getting him in.

Good point about the wingers!

Hopefully, our midfield gets quite messy at times. He may be able to restore a bit of order in that respect!

I know he is for Villareal, but if you watch how he played in the WC it was always out wide as a winger type of player.

He sat wide of centre as they sometimes alternate the formation to prevent other teams making tactics to play them, Senna plays central and pivets the midfield with Alonso.

Xavi plays central with Alonso normally, or with Febregas!

I'm on about when Senna is on the pitch. Xavi has been weened in steady after cruciate tears and ops.

£18.6 Million apparently!
Not all bad news for Spurs though, apparently Tom Huddlestone is being tipped to come in and replace him.
Saw him play at Derby a few times, made his debut at 16, he's a great young player.
