nice gav, I see you have the old Akasa Acrylic case. A 6800 GS ( not bad but would have gone for a 6600 GT or the 6800GT ).
That monitor best be DVI mate, 2ms is imense for a response time.

yes it is DVI as for the card, it was the only one i could afford at the time of building my new system so got that one too tide me over, as my old card isnt a PCI-E so cudnt use it, also made a few changes too the case, put my own hole in the side for a fan and also on the to.

I dont remember you commenting on it before mate but i appreciate that most people wont like it TBH but for £25 i cant complain and i personally havent had any problems with it so i'm
HOWEVER, i have just built my mrs's PC into her new Thermaltake case from overlockers and its a superior case in all respects but not cheap.
Heres the case:
Case Spec - bout 2/3 down the page

completely agree mate - so much better to work with and build into. She has a tsunami dream case at work which TBH is similar to some of the thermaltakes.
I am tempted to get a proper case but i want to work on the spec first. Its only a sempron 2600+, 1gb RAM, and 128mb gfx. Will have to see how my money goes because i already have a spare case so dont want to buy another one and have 2 empty cases lying around

Socket 754 is being phased out mate, if you were to get a new processor i would recommend skt 939 or even 940 ( would have to buy DDR 2 ram tho for 940 )

i would recommend AM2 Skt 940 tho. Newest slot out and its worth it because your already gonna have to shell out for a new mobo and processor. Ram isnt that much nowadays £50 will get you around 1gb

TBH im not after mind blowing performence, the x2 will do me fine, just want something better than the sempron plus i need it as cheap as possible
Also my graphics card is AGP (i know ) so i need a mobo that has an AGP socket (which the mobo my mrs will sell me has). Im guessiong that the 940 boards wont offer this as we struggled to find one that would run the AGP and dual core processor tbh

you can get a few skt 939 boards with AGP but you wont be getting them for 940 i beleive.
In your situation i would probably recommend the 4000 + as its at a really good price at the mo.

Here's mine:
PC spec (Dell Optiplex GX240):
Intel P4 1.6GHz CPU, 512Mb RAM, 64Mb GeForce MX4000 AGP card, 40Gb HDD, Sony CD-RW/DVD-RW combo drive, 3.5" 1.44Mb floppy drive, laptop style aluminium keyboard, Microsoft optical mouse
Monitor is 17" Compaq 7500 (CRT).
And yes I do need to get a proper computer table, as I have to sit on my bed to use the PC!
