didnt take me to long, just gotta get afew fancy silcon hoses now.
it now pulls so hard from 4k, its like a different car!

only thing, at lower revs, it doesnt seem to pull as much as the old manifold

Mine is the same.

Under 4K, it was a bit gutless, but when it's over 4K, makes up for it.

To combat this, I invested in a Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold. This gave it a bit more poke under 4K.

It's just what happens when you fit these manifolds.

Nope. Haven't got round to that yet.

Had a bit of an altercation with a Mercedes. Once RR'd, i expect it to be around 140-150BHP.

That has head and cams aswell though.

You have exactly the same issue with a Mantzel box.

Only way to smooth out this issue is to get rid of the cone filter, use the original airbox, panel filter and some more air feeds.... Somethign to do with the filters, inlet boxes just don't like them.

Pants below 3k, good for high revs, hence not really that great for a road car.

The Mantzel UK demo car went like cr4p off of a shovel though, no flat spots, superb map on it... Great power all the way up to 7250 where they set the cutoff. Still pulling power then as well!!

thats why out the two i preferred the lexmaul as its powerband was much more usable in 99% of situations

Yeah, power comes in much lower and is much more usable for daily use. Starts to lean out though around 6500rpm though if im not mistake?

mine didnt, my graphs showed it climbing still, at 7200

but... it was remapped, so probably would have done otherwise.

The power of an engine can be massively affected by the mapping. mapping can make or break an engines performance, mine for an example when I first fitted my throttle bodies it ran fine and pulled well but it went on the rollers at Noble and was only producing 143 bhp. following 4 hours of mapping it made about 160 bhp. then with more headwork, cams, verniers, different inlet and more mapping it now makes 177.6 bhp

so many people fit an inlet and expect miracles, get all your mods done then get it mapped and the difference will be huge.
