Curry's has on offer on 32" LCD Maxim TV for £398..I was thinking about buying one, At that price if it only lasts 5 years it's not a problem, my mum has just bought one, not seen it yet..She took out full insurance on it too for £2.50 per month which seems reasonable, thats parts / labour etc etc..
Never heard of them before...

I have a sony wega 28" flatscreen tv at moment and it's only 1 year old thats why I wasn't going to spend 1k + on a LCD or Plasma at the moment but for that price
SUre I could sell my sony with stand etc for £200...

go for it Mav, looks like a good TV for the money. And like you said, even if it lasts 5 years its still worth the money.

google reviews mav, never heard of them apart from a similar company doing remote controls. Maybe John has (might be worth a u2u to him).
Tbh, if it was me, i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole - rather spend an extra 200 quid and get the Hyundai A321, its around £580 but is suppose to be one of the best LCDs for under the £600 price bracket!

hmmmm, its bush but ill wait to see what you think of it after a week or so, but shame it doesn't have HDMI (not that it matters as it's DVI but with 7 channels of audio, saves on cabling though)
But tbh, if you were going to spend that you should have spent an extra 100 and gone for the Hyuadi A321, which i might get this sept after i have played around with my flatmates - he's the guinea pig

WHat you mean?
Switched on and all good
Will just be used for usual watching tv and movies..Not hooking upto PC or that..
Couldn't get a stand that I liked so bought a table from Ikea at the moment then when I decorate living room in a few months will decide what I want to do with it then, on the wall or stand..
Will get pics when I go home..

Component input I mean for connecting things like Xbox, progressive scan DVD players etc... just offers a better resolution that's all. Similar to DVI.

you looked in the argos mate? i got one for dirt cheap in there, i was limited on size as mine had to fit in between 2 wardrobes - infact the way it is the tv is actually pushing the wardrobes slight apart as it just say fits in
