i love these, and would like a bit of info on their value.

I have a friend who has one, and is needing shot of it. Question is.... should i get it?! I have no space for it... so it would mean eaither the 911, corsa or pug getting punted out onto the road. Not the best solution.

Its a 1979 1.6 GTi. It needs a bit of welding on the floorpan. It hasnt run for over a year. It has prob 90% of orig interior with it.

Option1 - take it, restore it
Option2 - take it, build it cheaply to a wee fun blast around car/track toy
Option3 - dont take it

I don't think one in need of resto is worth much specially in 1.6 guise probably 500tops but the fact it hasn't run for so long probably makes it cheaper
