He is good, but theres plenty of players out there that can cross a ball as well as him.

basically..... he picked the ball up in Reals half, iirc it broke out from a Sociedad corner. He then ran like the wind with the ball into Sociedads half, I was expecting a defender to appear from out of shot of the camera but all of a sudden he was on the edge of the box with only the keep to beat. He shaped to the keepers left but put it to the keepers right. nice goal. He then peeled to the left to jubilate with the Real Madrid supporters with a grin on his face.
hope that helps.

Hose A Ray S scored too.
Free kick to the right of the box so favoured a left footer. short run up. Wasnt quite top right hand corner. Keeper flung himself towards the ball got a hand to it and it that deflected ball straight into the top corner. Kinda made it look better than it was. He then peeled to the right to jubilate with the Real Madrid fans along with Robinho. They shared a tender moment with hugs and kisses.

Good goal aswell, really didn't want HIM to score it though.
Great free kick but IMO it should of been saved, keeper toally cocked it up trying to save with his right hand only and not his left or both!

Have you ever bothered to watch him play at real madrid over the last 3 years, possibly their best and most conssitent player theyve had, same for england jsut because he doesnt score everyweek people think hes doing nothing, absolute superb player and possibly an all tiem great if it wenrt for the fact people get on his back soo much about his life outside of football.

I do watch him, but he is nowhere as near the class he was at United
for the record, i was absolutely gutted when he left United in 2003, one of my favorite players ever... got 4 shirts with his name and 1 signed

one of the most under rated players imo
his free kick taking ability is over rated i must admit, he doesn't convert anywhere near as much as say Juninho at Lyon but his crossing ability and assist ratio is phenomonal and the stats dont lie.

Sxi04 i think thats what i was getting at, when he played for Man Utd his corners and free kicks were second to none

Gilberto (Arsenal) is one of the most under rated players imo.

Beckham is over rated.
He is meant to be great at two things...
Free kick expert...hardly scores any TBH. Crossing expert...no better than anyone else who can strike a ball well (which should be anyone playing for a top club).
He cant beat a man. He cant tackle. He cant head a ball. And he has no pace.
Should be one of the greats...

he can corss the ball to precision to anyone on the field, theres no one person in the game that can do it aswell as him and consistently!!
his free kicks are good but if you watch the games he rarely gets a go these days because of all the top names at real all thikin they can do better than eachother.
since when has beating a man been the msot important, and why does he need to if he can pass it to a man.
he can tackle, and possibly has one of the best footballing minds around.
gutted he doesnt play for england no more.

freekicks are good...he took all Englands, yet before the one at the WC he hadnt scored one for 3yrs.
beating a man isnt most important, but if he is to be a great as you said he needs more to his game than can pass and cross.

Its because of the position they play. I think Makelele has a bit more recognition than Gilberto though. People still harp on about how he is missed at Real Madrid.

I would say his passing ability scraps the need for him to beat a man, why does he need to run past someone to be regarded as a great player. Their hast been a England player in the last 10 years who is even remotely close to him in terms of passing and crossing ability
