better than some of the copy's that have been ,ade, but i would still rather hold on and get a mantzel or even better a velos torque tube (rare) other than the manifold you will want a air filter similar to a viper, ideally a 4branch manifold and system, con-rod bolts and a re-map

I thought the ones on ebay used to be like £100?? Anyway, It'll do the same job as a mantzel. If you've ever looked at a proper inlet manifold like a dbilas, its just a hollow box (gas flowed i know) but there won't be a huge different i doubt.

not at all. The dbilas and mantzel boxes are designed and manufactured properly, not just 6 bits of thin metal welded together. I agree they will have the same kind of effect but the box design wont be as effiecient at flowing the air as a manifold that was designed properly.
I made a few inlets and they were all flow bench tested. The one I made actually flowed better than the mantzel box, about 20% more efficient in fact! heres a pic of it:

only made a couple as I lost interest and the manufacturing costs were huge. it was much better than the mantzel box but wasnt as good as a dbilas.
the dbilas ones are the best in my opinion, better quality and design than all of the others.

These are still available new.
I got mine in January. It was £520 delivered from Germany. Out of principle, i wouldn't pay over the odds for the one you listed.
As Dave says, the mantzel and Dbilas items are made for the job, not just welded metal.

I could knock up those welded metal ones for less than £60, fully powdercoated and ones that would actually fit.

cheers guys, think ill be ordering a dbilas in the next few weeks. how hard are they to fit, is it a case of taking the standard one off and bolting this one straight on? also, who u do u recommend for a re map, i live in west wales so ideally i dont really wanna be traceling accross the other side of the country, and how much does it roughly cost?

the mantzel one i dont think is designed very well at all, if you were to take the throttle body off of a mantzel inlet you will see at th ebottom there is a huge ridge the air has to travel up and over then back down into each cylinder... the one i had made up was a bit larger and di not have this ridge and each cylinder had its own trumpet inside of the plnum chamber...

to answer the question about fitting these inlets do a search- only attempt it if you are fairly competant with a spanner- have atleast a day to spare to do it. it is not just a case of un bolting and re bolting this one on-

well if your fitting it on the bench it will be an absolute piece of proverbial
if you are fitting it in the car like nearly everyone else has then report back on how long it takes you!!!!
