Ok my mate has a 1.1i saxo, always soundid like a hair dryer, he came up my street today, i asked him if he had baught a new exhaust. he said no, i just got a one of them induction kits, so i had a look, its a max power one or somthing, the car is loud as fook now, sounds like has a new exhaust.
Why would this be on a saxo, yet the induction kit on my 1.2 16v dont make the same effect?

ok 02 plate will be mpi engine.
but no 'wires' as you say. simple unbolt the old air box from the top of the throttle pot and connect the filter.
might sound louder because the inlet is next to the bulk head where as a corsa filter will be behind the drivers side light

It wouldn't start if the airflow meter had been removed.
Though just one pointer. The car never had an airflow meter.
