Beggening Febuary 06... A log as follows.
Ive just got home with my lovely new toy.. :dw: My BMW 320i SE!
Love them in white, had much fun in essex dodging pikeys and dodgy dealers getting this back. Anyway more details to follow, heres some pics
The only evidence of rust (hopefully)
Apart from the offside front door which needs some panal beating :smash: :smash:
Overall, im more than happy with it
Gave it a quick wash and started in the boot..
Removing the boot rubber reveals some minor surface rust, which will be sanded back and treated accordingly :smash:
Oooh, what have we here a small tool kit, minus all tools except a spanner!
It only adds weight anyway, and seems abit damp, :smash:
Removing the boot carpet reveals......A sturdy bmw spare Cooper Park Lane don't you know :smash:
:wack: hmm, this a nice suprise I find..my very own in car swimming pool
Some of the bits removed from the boot
And the rear bench removed revealing damp underlay stuff, mmm the smell of damp fibre
Okay took the rear lights out for a good clean, checking the seals and cleaning the metal up all good.
Interior of the boot
The boot overall now, cleaned up, (abit more to do down the swimming pool areas)
the collection of sideparts and yes, the rear seats are out too!
 :smash: heaviest, and most annoying rear seats in the world.
Finally the middle and lower seatbelts have been removed.. That was much fun, blood, sweat, tears, and a obscene amount of swearing.
Casualy of war ..
Belts totally gone.. all door cards stripped
The interior of the car from outside
And the collection of bits from inside the car!
Drivers seat removed...
Found some treasure too..
Central thing and handbrake gaitor removed..
Don't think Ill be able to reach those pedals from back here..
What is it with bmw and LEDs?
Passenger seat is out! Woo.
The treasure which I found down the sides of the seats meaning.. I only payed £439.67p for this car.. Bargin :dw:
After savaging the carpet, I decided to have a blow, time for a feast.
Okay, so as I said, i savaged the carpet, I did plan to only take the carpet from behind the seats away. however Upon removing said carpet, I found there to be more water in the car, picture if you will the contents of lochness, sloshing about inside a 320 and thats kinda what was absorbed into the foam underlay of my carpet
The soon to be removed water..I'm starting to beleive this car may have been submerged at once point, and used as a attack sub.
Ahh bit better now
My baby, as the sun is setting.
Notice shes abit higher now that the lake has been removed from the car.
I picture of my door, which I can only imagine was acheived by a blazing gun battle
Woo more progress today, well nice weather
Okay so I want to have a nice flat interior, floor will be painted matt black, so the sound deadening tar had to come up... that was abit gay..till I aquired a hair dryer, then I was laughing
First to sort was the center console...
I finished that.. was abit frustrated as some of it chipped rather than peeled away, and decided id like to see into the boot.. I tried to carefully knock the panal out with a screw driver and hammer.. but that was taking far too long and in the end just went straight for the hammer, which did it in seconds, and also releived abit of tension . :smash:
So on with the sound deadening on the seats.. hair dryer at this point made it very easy.. but messy.
all that junk gone, gonna need a wire wheel to finish it off tho.
Realising I didnt have one of those, and still in a very good mood of using hammers and power tools I decided id remove the locking nuts which were on the rear wheels, and didnt have any keys for..
a bit of drilling, swearing, hammering, snapping a screw driver, and more drilling, resulted in a final swearing of joy, as the little fucker came off
Then I thought id have a play and see if the spare steels about fitted the bmw, sadly they didnt seem to fit over the brakes.
Started late today as I had to go to the bank and do some other bits, so more to come tomoro..
But did abit of tidying up inside the car, Harness and seats to be fitted tomoro, so good having her running again cant wait to take it out! :wack:
Paint was still drying when taking these so looks abit patchy

I couldnt be bothered with the black, and the white just made it look alot cleaner
