No others online though when it was standard, and on 17" Mille Miglia alloys (Same as Stocker had on C13 i think)...
fecking FLEW that car... Remember pulling onto the M25 at Brentwood (going to a meet) and Lee was with us. I put my foot down from the roundabout up the slip road, all of a sudden, Lee comes hammering past me like I was standing still, flames popping out between gear changes...
The car didn't have a huge spec, but it was done right and was a missile!!! Went past me quicker than a std 2.0 would have!!!!

That used to get quite fast 0-60 times. Cant remember what the times were but remember thinking at the time it was fast for a 1.6!

Originally a C16
Then an X16
Then another X16 from a Tigra..
Mantzel box
exhaust manifold
uprated rod bolts, alloy tensioner etc...
head work
Cams (can't remember duration, but its idle wasn't purry, it was very lumpy).
140-150bhp.... But it went like poop off a shovel.

264 is the biggest cams you can have without pocketing the pistons isnt it?

Most owners don't do the rod bolts either...... errrrrrr, bugger... Then you hit 7500rpm, 88mph, and the flux capacitor blows the rings on the pistons, and the engine goes pop, while en-route to Trax... Bugger.....
Do the other modifications, the engines good. Dons made her V-max at 7519rpm, so they set the limiter at 7500rpm...
Lee's car just had the right work and the right modifcations as advised by Mantzel. Think it had the same "superchipped" ecu from Manztel that D5 had and worked so well with...
